Amy's Space Surprise

As a little girl, Amy tried to save a kitten from her roof, but she was the one that became stuck. That experience gave her a fear of heights. For her, this was a serious problem, since her dream in life was to become an astronaut when she grew up. She wanted to get closer to the beautiful stars she could see sparkling in the night sky as she looked up at them from her back yard. Amy's drive forced her to work hard to overcome that fear but she managed with the help of exciting rides at the fairground! To encourage him to study, his teacher, Ms. Lane, told him it was important to have a strong foundation in school, just like his buildings. It worked, and he began to study harder. As he grew up, he worked hard and became an architect and engineer. Then one day, he got the biggest job of his life. Cindy's Magic Lunches

Cindy loved to be the star of the show, even if it wasn’t for a long time. It was her way to show off things she had learned from her mom in the kitchen at home. She always watched her mother cooking, and listened to her careful explanations. She even wanted to learn about food usually eaten in different countries. In high school, she got jobs helping in the school cafeteria and summer jobs in neighborhood restaurants where she learned how to make big meals for lots of people. That started her dream about becoming a great chef. With the money she saved from working, she traveled to France after high school and studied to earn a “Cordon Bleu” degree, a very high award that a chef can achieve. She returned home to work in a restaurant and always made her customers smile. One day, a happy customer surprised her with a way to have the future she had dreamed about but hadn’t expected!

Debbie the Determined Doctor

In kindergarten Debbie dreamed of healing people as she put little bandages on her doll’s imaginary injuries. In elementary school, her teacher quickly realized she was extremely shy. It was almost impossible for Debbie to talk to her teacher or to her classmates. She became a mystery to them when they saw her playing volleyball. She suddenly became a fierce player and was the star of the team. But, as soon as the game was over, she immediately transformed back into the shy little girl like she was in class. But, in spite of her shyness, Debbie was very smart and made excellent grades in school. She studied all through high school and college and was accepted to an excellent medical school. She became a great heart doctor and learned to heal many people. She was happy and managed to heal a person that she never believed possible!

Eddie the Environmentalist

Eddie loved the camping spot on the edge of Morgan’s Pond where his father took him on weekends to fish. As a little boy, he loved that place so much, he soon felt it was his best friend. He enjoyed the peace and sounds of nature and hoped it would always be there to love. But as Eddie became older, he noticed it was much harder to catch fish like he used to. He discovered Morgan's Pond was in trouble, and it made him want to do something important. He was determined to save that place, which had become his best friend. For the first time in his life, Eddie began to study hard. He wanted to get into college and learn to be an environmental engineer. He hoped to save Morgan’s Pond so everyone could enjoy it for many years. In fact, he wanted to be like his father one day. He hoped he could have a little boy to teach how to fish!

Felica the Fashion Designer

A real-life princess who loved beautiful clothes, always dreamed of ladies fashions. But she spent a lot of time drawing them in school instead of paying attention to her lessons. That hurt her grades every year which made Felicia sad that she would never be able to go to college. But an art teacher helped her, and she was accepted into the City Fashion School. It changed her life and made her dream come true!

Felicia's first design order came from someone very special and it helped her open a fashion design business named "Princess Felicia's Design Company -- The Royal Dress Designer!". It was a great success! Soon, she received a phone call asking her to design a magnificent dress for another special person in her life!

Gaelle the Gifted Gardener

Gaelle was from England and loved to grow plants and flowers, and was very good at it. So when her family moved to America, she made a nice backyard garden with beautiful flowers and butterflies. She often took plants to school for show-and-tell, and even gave roses to her teacher for her birthday.

Gaelle was very kind to everyone unless it was someone hurting a plant or flower. Then she had a temper! It was one of those days when she saw Jimmy, the school bully, stomping in the school’s flower bed to kill the young flowers. Her face turned red, before she punched him in the face so hard, it made him cry! Mr. Owens, the principal, had Jimmy replant the flowers with Gaelle supervising him. After that day, her friends gave her a new nickname!

Hassan the Handy Mechanic

Hassan never liked reading, but he dreamed of fixing anything that was broken. His projects didn’t always work, but after his dad helped him repair a broken go-cart, his life changed. In a high school auto repair class, he struggled with reading the instruction manuals, but he worked hard to succeed and finally became an expert mechanic. He got a part-time job and bought a ‘fixer-up’ car to make beautiful.

After graduation, he worked for an auto repair business until later, when his boss retired, he got the opportunity to buy the company. Now, Hassan’s family was happy, and he had made his dream to repair many broken things, come true!

Irving Has Incredible Ideas

Irving was a kid with many family problems. He was the oldest of six kids when his father was killed in an automobile accident. Despite his family's adversity, Irving had a positive and hopeful attitude about life. He wanted to find a way to help his single mother and siblings meet the financial requirements of the family.

His innovative thinking while he was in elementary, middle, and high schools required determination and creativity to find ways to buy the family food and other things they needed. That same thinking in college led him to discover a future greater than he ever expected.

Jimmy's Sad Journey

Jimmy is the victim of a broken home and an insensitive working mother. With almost no home supervision, he develops a hostile personality that makes him unpopular in school. He wants respect from his classmates and to make a few friends, but his personality and bad attitude keeps that from happening.

Instead, he befriends a group of older boys from his neighborhood and joins them in committing delinquent activities. It started with trashing neighborhood houses for fun and excitement and being sought by the police. He would soon find his decisions would lead him down a path that he never wanted.

Kyle's Special Mission

Kyle loved to play his older brother's forbidden drums, so he was very happy when his brother asked him to take care of them before he left for college. Now, he could play them anytime he wanted! But that was also the day his dad assigned him the job of cutting the grass, which was what his brother had done.

As years passed and Kyle was older, his love of playing games at church with his friends helped him decide what he wanted to do when he grew up. He decided to become a youth minister as his life’s work. Kyle would soon discover how all of his interests would serve a greater purpose!
